OUR MINISTRIES
Let us guide you on your journey of spiritual growth in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. From the traditional to the modern, Second Baptist has ministries for all who seek to increase their development in the Christian faith. Listed below are just a few of the ministries offered at our historic church. Plan your visit and ask where your gifts can be of use to the kingdom!
Youth Ministry
Governed by the Youth Coordinating Council, our youth ministry includes youth group activities, Sunday School, and community outreach for young people to grow in Christ.
Music and Arts Ministry
Our music and arts ministry includes our Voices of Praise, Contemporary, and Youth Choirs; Divine Revelation Liturgical Dancers; and Celestial Handbell Ringers.
Bread of Whole Life (B.O.W.L.)
This is our ministry to the hungry and homeless. We open our doors every Tuesday to feed and minister to the poor. All are welcome to sup and commune with us!
Health Ministry
With the guidance of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we seek to serve and promote the spiritual, physical, and mental health of the members of Second Baptist Church and the community. We do this by:

Providing first aid and assistance during worship services

Health promotion and disease prevention activities

Coordinating and/or conducting health screenings and health seminars throughout the year

Providing Healthy Mind, Healthy Body, Healthy Spirit sessions (including a healthy meal) 4-5 times a year

Distributing health-related literature
The Brotherhood
The Brotherhood is our men's ministry. This organization began in the late 1950's, and serves as mentors and examples of brotherhood within our church and community.
